Product Description

Boost your GM LS Series Engine's power with this Vararam Power Wedge. This wedge is not exactly a throttle body spacer, instead it changes the angle of the throttle body opening up the lower pathway to nearly 100% full volume, realigns the bore increasing flow velocity, and includes a balance plenum inside the bore, allowing the manifold vacuum to pull in a more uniform fashion. The gains from these features are up to 10% increase in airflow, up to 10% increase in peak manifold pressure, and power gains as high as 18 lb ft of torque and 14 hp on a stock LS-3 between 2500 and 4500 RPM. With the low price tag and installation time of 5-10 minutes, there is no easier way to add power to your GM LS Engine!

I noticed after 2500 rpms, is when the wedge seems to perform it's best. Tim

works exactly has described on my 2005 and 2006 GTO's. from past purchases from Vararam, they know what they are doing.
Made the car sound better, but no noticable difference in hp

After installing the Vararam Power Wedge in my 2011 Corvette Grand Sport (LS3 6.2L V8), I did notice a difference in the sound of the engine (deeper rumble and louder), but I did not see a noticeable improvement in the horsepower. I have not but my car on a dyno either, so I can't say for sure that horsepower was not actually increased. Also, the company doesn't tell you that if you install the power wedge, you will have issues installing an aftermarket air filter kit, such as the K&N system I have. Because the power wedge changes the angle of the throttle body, you don't get the same clearance or intended angle for the air filter. I was still able to re-install the air filter with the power wedge on and the hood closes with no issues, but this was an unexpected surprise.
