They are the most memorable, most sought after special edition, late-model Grand Prixs ever built, but production of the F.1 Grand Prix only lasted a very short time and produced only a handful of these beauties. You may not be able to buy one but now you can start to build your own. Our F.1 'Style' Grand Prix Ram Air Hood is built using the finest materials and craftsmanship available and boasts a weight savings of almost 25% (over 11 lbs) compared to the stock hood. Q: Can you recommend a body shop in my area to have the hood prepped and painted? A: While we don't have a database of body shops around the country, we can give you some hints on finding the right place to do the work. Look for a shop that has experience with fiberglass and has worked with aftermarket hoods. Rarely will you find that your local dealership has had any experience with fiberglass, they usually work with factory parts made of steel. Some of our customers have had success contacting their local Chevrolet dealer's body shop and asking where they send Corvettes that come in damaged as Corvettes are fiberglass. Your local performance shop may also have recommendations. Ask for recommendations of other customers who have had similar work done.
Q: What all is involved with "prep" and painting as listed in the description above? A: Your body shop will want to test fit the hood immediately upon receiving it. They will make any adjustments necessary to make it fit just right. They will also want to block sand it prior to painting. This is where a good body shop is important. If they don't have experience with fiberglass, they can cost you money. There should be a couple of hours of labor involved with test fitting and prepping (painting will be extra). If they want to charge you for much more than that or they are telling you the hood will need repair before they can paint it, tell them to hold off and email us for further instructions.
Q: Can I buy a functional airbox? A: We do not offer a specific airbox that mates up with the hood, but you will gain the same performance by adding our K&N FIPK intake to your car, and it will sit below the hood scoop air output to grab the incoming air.

Shipping is freight collect (you pay shipping on receipt
of product). Sample shipping costs are for example only and
are to business addresses only. Residential addresses will cost
additional (at least $70 additional or more). Southeast about $160-$190.
Northeast about $160-$190. Midwest $140-$180 West Coast $100-$155.
Hawaii $250 or more. Toronto Canada $195-$260. If you live more
than 20 miles outside of a major metropolitan area, shipping charges

Please check the product for damage carefully prior to accepting
the package from the delivery service. If anything is damaged, REFUSE
delivery and alert us immediately. IF THE PACKAGE IS SIGNED FOR
AND DAMAGED IS FOUND AFTER IT HAS BEEN SIGNED FOR, YOU HAVE WAIVED
ALL RIGHTS TO DAMAGE CLAIMS.
Test fit parts immediately. All parts have been inspected and
test fit prior to shipment. If your body shop can not get the part
to fit correctly, contact us immediately. Photos of any fit problems
must be emailed to us for evaluation. Include the body shop's phone
number so we may offer technical support to the body shop necessary.
We may require you to have a different body shop
install the parts at our discretion if we feel a second opinion
is needed. Any claims for fit problems must be brought to our attention
within 3 business days of receiving the part.
Any claims for defects in fit or finish made after prep work
has started on the part will not be honored. This means if your
shop takes it upon themselves to fix any issues without our prior
approval, we will not reimburse for any related expenses nor will the
manufacturer honor any defect or fitment claims so make sure test
fitting is done prior to any work being started.
Part warranty is 1 year from date of purchase against manufacturer's
defects or workmanship. Warranty is for part replacement only.

I bought this hood while on sale and got a great deal. Shipping to the east coast was less than $150.00. That was less than they quoted me, what a deal! The hood is absolutely beautiful and took less than 30 minutes to install. Nice craftsmanship, a true work of art. This was a pleasant transaction and will buy more parts for sure!

Just got the CF hood. Looks great the dealer that i go to said it was high quality. There were only a few things that i have to say. The weave has some blemishes and the pin that holds the hood down is a little to small so it is not quite a snug fit. These are very small issues. Over all this was worth the buy.

I just received my new F1 hood. It was shipped to Newfoundland Canada, which is the furthest province on the east coast. Even though the box was in bad shape there were no marks or damage on my hood due to the great packing job of PFYC. Thanks Guys. Shipping time was only 12 days.

I recently bought this hood and the quality of it was wicked nice. It fit the car perfectly just like a stock hood. I haven't painted it yet put the hood still turns heads with its aggressive look. Plus the car Is much quicker. Easy to install if ya have a buddy with you took me about 25 mins. I def Recomend this hood to any one who is thinking about buying it.

Even though the box was damaged in shipping the staff at PFYC had done such a great job packing the hood arrived undamaged. The fit and finish, is first rate, the thought of hanging it on my wall has crossed my mind...Once on the car this hood really shows its stuff...and in the sun..wow the CF is stunning..AWESOME UPGRADE !!!!
