The SD Grand Prix Ram Air Hood for the 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix is sure to turn heads. Our SD Grand Prix Ram Air Hood is built using the finest materials and craftsmanship available and boasts a weight savings of almost 25% (over 11 lbs) compared to the stock hood. Comes with inlet grills. Uses factory hood struts, hinges and latches. Smooth underside. PFYC is proud to offer this exceptional value to our customers. Comes unpainted, ready to prep and paint. Q: Can you recommend a body shop in my area to have the hood prepped and painted? A: While we don't have a database of body shops around the country, we can give you some hints on finding the right place to do the work. Look for a shop that has experience with fiberglass and has worked with aftermarket hoods. Rarely will you find that your local dealership has had any experience with fiberglass, they usually work with factory parts made of steel. Some of our customers have had success contacting their local Chevrolet dealer's body shop and asking where they send Corvettes that come in damaged as Corvettes are fiberglass. Your local performance shop may also have recommendations. Ask for recommendations of other customers who have had similar work done.
Q: What all is involved with "prep" and painting as listed in the description above? A: Your body shop will want to test fit the hood immediately upon receiving it. They will make any adjustments necessary to make it fit just right. They will also want to block sand it prior to painting. This is where a good body shop is important. If they don't have experience with fiberglass, they can cost you money. There should be a couple of hours of labor involved with test fitting and prepping (painting will be extra). If they want to charge you for much more than that or they are telling you the hood will need repair before they can paint it, tell them to hold off and email us for further instructions.
Q: Can I buy a functional airbox? A: The K&N FIPK Air Intake Kit listed in the Related Products section will sit below the air inlet to grab the incoming air.

Shipping is freight collect (you pay shipping on receipt of product). Sample shipping costs are for example only and are to business addresses only. Residential addresses will cost additional (at least $70 additional or more). Southeast about $160-$190. Northeast about $160-$190. Midwest $140-$180 West Coast $100-$155. Hawaii $250 or more. Toronto Canada $195-$260. If you live more than 20 miles outside of a major metropolitan area, shipping charges may be more. For a more accurate quote, feel free to email us.
Please check the product for damage carefully prior to accepting the package from the delivery service. If anything is damaged, REFUSE delivery and alert us immediately. IF THE PACKAGE IS SIGNED FOR AND DAMAGED IS FOUND AFTER IT HAS BEEN SIGNED FOR, YOU HAVE WAIVED ALL RIGHTS TO DAMAGE CLAIMS.
Test fit parts immediately. All parts have been inspected and test fit prior to shipment. If your body shop can not get the part to fit correctly, contact us immediately. Photos of any fit problems must be emailed to us for evaluation. Include the body shop's phone number so we may offer technical support to the body shop if necessary. We may require you to have a different body shop install the parts at our discretion if we feel a second opinion is needed. Any claims for fit problems must be brought to our attention within 3 business days of receiving the part.
Any claims for defects in fit or finish made after prep work has started on the part will not be honored. This means if your shop takes it upon themselves to fix any issues without our prior approval, we will not reimburse for any related expenses nor will the manufacturer honor any defect or fitment claims so make sure test fitting is done prior to any work being started.
Part warranty is 1 year from date of purchase against manufacturer's defects or workmanship. Warranty is for part replacement only.

Just put the carbon fiber hood on hooked up the ram air and every thing was perfect! can definitely feel the extra horse power and the carbon fiber looks phenomenal the mesh is perfect I love the black edging done around the ram air intakes and the border this is way more hood than I was expecting. Shipping was fast only took about 2 1/2 weeks to get and by the looks of it they make these fresh because you can tell it was just made. I would definitely recommend this hood to anyone thinking about getting one and trust me when you get it you will be as shocked as me to see how perfect every last detail on this hood is and as a bonus it came with all the mounts for the shocks and hood latch. Thanks again for another great purchase.

I am very pleased with the quality of the Carbon Fiber hood. Fitment is almost dead on and the look is superb. That it came with the hood latch was an added bonus. I very much recommend this hood. Great Product!

I recently added a sd hood to my gtp. It looks and fits good, it sit about 1/4" high mid hood on the fender line, but if you adjust it right it looks great. As far as quality fit and finish it the best aftermarket glass hood I have ever owned.

I have purchased the SD hood along with the cold air intake and couldn't be more pleased. The look of the hood is incredible, it is by far the best carbon fiber hood i have seen, it will blow any show car hood away by a long shoot. After installing them both the acceleration of the car was dramatically improved. The roar of the engine is music to my ears.

I've had my hood for almost 3 years. Perfectly suited to the car. Superb quality. Don't chince out on cheaper hoods from other manufacturers. I've seen some of them. You won't find a better hood than this. It's worth the cost.
