Gibson Cat-Back Exhaust - 06-09 HHR -

Gibson cat-back exhaust systems are engineered to produce more low-end
power and torque than other exhaust systems. This is more useful for
street-driven vehicles than the high-RPM horsepower claims made by
others. Gibson systems improve exhaust flow and create more power where
you need it! In order to reduce turbulence, Gibson spent a lot of time
working on the "slip fit" joining of all components. Each pipe fits into
the larger opening of the next down stream exhaust pipe. This method
contributes little turbulence when compared to "ball and socket" or
"flange and gasket" methods, which can create substantial power-robbing
backpressure and turbulence at each joint. Worse, a misaligned gasket
or socket can actually create more backpressure than your current stock
system. Select between aluminized (lower cost, but may tend to develop
rust over time) or stainless steel (costs more, but never rusts).
