Speedbuilt Sway Bars - W-body -
Typically, understeer problems occur when your car can't negotiate a sharp curve and "pushes" when cornering. This explains why you see so many tire marks on sharp cloverleaf ramps. Other common problems include tire squeal and wheel hop, which lead to a loss of traction. With the proper anti-sway bars installed in conjunction with the use of good quality tires, wider wheels, and high quality shocks, the front end of your vehicle will hold a curve just as well as the rear, giving you good balance. Additionally, your vehicle's body will not lean as much on curves throwing its weight outwards and tilting the front wheels.
The Speedbuilt Front Sway Bar for most W-body vehicles replaces the 1 1/16" tubular stock sway bar with a 1 1/4" solid bar with custom made polyurethane bushings and new custom brackets. Don't let the retailers of tubular sway bars convince you that their bars are superior in an effort to justify their expensive price tag. They may claim a weight advantage but ask them what the weight difference really is. We've never heard of a sway bar bracket breaking and our Speedbuilt Sway Bars are track tested. You'll see why they are preferred by those who know suspensions.
The Speedbuilt Rear Sway Bar is a 7/8" solid bar and includes polyurethane midpoint bushings and uses the factory brackets. Energy Suspension Polyurethane End Link Bushings for the front sway bar are available by going to the Suspension & Brakes section and selecting Energy Suspension Polyurethane Bushings. Both Sway bars include grease packets so you don't have to buy a grease gun to install them.
