For off road use only (see note at bottom of page). For years, it has been a common belief that all catalytic converters place a choke-hold on performance. In 1993, Random Technology disproved that theory with the introduction of Super High Flow catalytic converters. This design, which meets Federal EPA and California ARB requirements, enables virtually any vehicle with a properly tuned engine to meet emissions standards with little, if any power loss (compared to an exhaust with no catalytic converter).
In fact, Random Technology catalytic converters actually have a higher flow capacity than most mufflers. This direct fit, bolt-in replacement for the stock catalytic converter on 3.8-liter vehicles has a 3 inch inlet and 2-1/2 inch outlet. It flows 438 cfm compared to 267 cfm for the stock converter at a test pressure of 28 inches of water. That's a 47% increase in flow! Add up to 8HP to the wheels with this converter! The added benefit of this direct fit, bolt on replacement is the inclusion of the U-Bend replacement and the enlarged downpipe. The U-Bend replacement does include the O2 bung for mounting the O2 sensor.
For those with headers, select the direct bolt-on version built specifically for use with The Other Guys Headers. Don't be fooled by others offering a version that requires welding. By the time you pay a shop to weld theirs up to the flange you'll have spent the small amount you saved. In addition it may be difficult to find a shop that will do this work considering the laws regarding catalytic converters. There's no better solution than a direct bolt-on solution.

Compare our bolt-on unit for The Other Guys headers to our competitors units. Ours is the only true bolt-on solution on the market. The competitors will sell you a converter that must be welded on, but our solution, if you select the option that bolts to the headers, requires no welding at all!
NOTE: Compatible with W-body vehicles with 3.8 liter 3800 Series II / III engines only. The converter package includes hardware to mount the front section, but you will re-use your stock bolts and gasket in the rear. We can provide an installation kit for the rear if you need one, please inquire with us via e-mail for a price and availability. For the converters that fit the TOG headers, we include proper hardware for the front mount as well.
