DBA's 4000 series are the most advanced brake rotor on the market. These rotors are designed to perform in extreme road and race applications. The DBA 4000 Series T3 Rotor has a Tri-Symmetrical design for extreme stopping power on both the road and the track and will complement the look of your performance car. These rotors will bolt right on to your car without any changes required. The 4000 series T3 slotted rotor features Thermal Stability Profiling (TSP - see below for details) for improved heat handling and Thermo-Graphic paint markings (see below for details) for effective heat monitoring. They feature a patented "Kangaroo Paw" ventilation (see below for details) design to keep as cool as possible, and their directional slots help improve brake pad bit and reduce fade. The design also encourages even brake pad wear and prevents pad glazing while delivering a consistent stopping power. The centers are paint protected to enhance the appearance and reduce the likelihood of rusting. Please note: These are sold per rotor, so if you need a pair (2), please change the quantity above to 2.

Kangaroo Paw Ventilation System

Kangaroo Paw is a patented, high-tech rotor ventilation system designed by DBA which delivers significantly improved braking performance, even under extreme braking conditions. Kangaroo Paw rotor designs run cooler, are stronger, and outperform traditional straight-vane disc rotors. At the heart of the design is a series of 144 diamond- and tear-drop shaped pillars and columns individually spaced between the rotor faces.

TSP

TSP is a proprietary process specifically developed by DBA for improving the performance of disc brake rotors. Benefits of TSP include:

  • Improved fatigue resistance to minimize surface cracking
  • Reduced rotor fatigue during prolonged heavy braking
  • Quick replacement and minimal bedding-in required of rotors

Thermo-Graphic Paint Markings

Thermo-Graphic markings are placed on the outer edge of each DBA 4000 series T3 disc rotor and are used to monitor the core temperatures reached during braking application. The markings change color as the rotor heats up to alert you to rotor temperatures that exceed optimum levels. The green mark changes to white when the rotor exceeds 458 degrees C (856 degrees F). The orange mark changes to yellow at 550 C (1022 F) and the red mark changes to white at 630 C (1166 F).
