C7 Corvette Exhaust Systems
Making a decision on an exhaust system for your C7 Corvette can be tough. There are a lot of options and a lot of things to think about. First, you should probably know if your Corvette has an NPP exhaust (Stock High-Performance Exhaust) system installed on it. This might make a difference in what kind of Chevrolet Corvette C7 exhaust systems would be best for you. After you have determined your exhaust status then you can really start thinking about how much of your system you want to upgrade and how big you want to go.
A stock exhaust system for 2014-2018 Chevrolet C7 Corvette is restricted by extra bends and government regulations. If you really want to open up your exhaust system to the fullest extent, then you would probably want to start with a set of headers. Most manufacturers offer you a chance to order a system that lets you override the catalytic converters, but that would be for racing purposes only.
After a set of headers - to keep the restriction as low as possible - you would probably want to go with 3-inch piping back to an X-Pipe then into an axle-back system that is 3-inch compatible like a Billy Boat Fusion system. A Billy Boat Fusion exhaust system will work like an NPP system, but instead of opening up the exhaust to 2.5-inches like the stock NPP, it opens up to a 3-inch exhaust, basically giving you 3-inch straight pipes all the way back. This will offer you plenty of ground pounding sound and a huge increase in horsepower and torque across the RPM range.
Now, not everyone will want to go to those extremes, especially if you're using your Corvette as more of a street cruiser. But if you're still on the hunt for Corvette C7 exhaust systems, just more streetable applications, then maybe a Borla or Magnaflow axle-back exhaust system is the way to go. The axle-back street systems that Borla and Magnaflow manufacture are easy installs, affordable and are great for a classic sound, and still give you horsepower and torque gains over stock. Other manufacturers like Flowmasters and Corsa offer you the same type of American sound and horsepower gains without the need for replacing your whole exhaust system.
Keep it clean out back! Along with a variety of exhaust tip choices, we also offer custom exhaust surround bezel and panel fillers. These are great pieces for all Corvette C7 exhaust systems. They are a flashy way to add that little something extra to the tailpipe view. We also offer other accessories for your exhaust system for 2014-2018 Chevrolet Corvette C7. Our Mild2Wild exhaust switch is a great way to control your NPP exhaust system instead of letting your Vette do it for you. Your Corvette will open up the values to your exhaust at a certain RPM and only when you're in gear. This easy install switch can either be activated by a key fob or by your Corvette's home link system. Even if you're not in your Corvette and it is just idling, you can push the button and open up your great sounding exhaust.
